On February 10, 2026, Michael Alfera, Senior Litigation Attorney, moderated a continuing education panel for lawyers entitled “Generative AI in Legal Practice: Tips and Tales from the Trenches,” produced by the Southwestern Law School chapter of the American Inns of Court. Mr. Alfera led a lively discussion with Ashod Mooradian, Esq. (Law Office of Ashod Mooradian) and
Cansu Akalin (TikTok), providing practitioners with actionable, practical guidance on using AI to optimize attorney workflows. Among other things, the three attorneys discussed how technology implementations are taking projects that used to require a tremendous amount of time and resources to accomplish and getting them done quickly and efficiently. Implemented judiciously, AI has the power to facilitate the delivery of excellent legal services to clients at a very high value for the cost. Attendees walked away with actionable steps for implementing AI in their own workflows to improve work product and enhance client value.
Another important takeaway from the discussion was that, while AI is indeed transforming the landscape by providing technology-rich ways for accomplishing what used to take tremendous human power to accomplish, there are some aspects of good lawyering that AI hasn’t touched and can’t touch: namely, the importance of strong relationships. This takeaway reflects Weinberg Gonser LLP’s own commitment to viewing our client relationships in terms of years, not in terms of billable hours. As AI continues to optimize our workflows and enable us to provide more client value than ever before, our focus will always remain on our long-term relationships with our clients and our commitment to their success.
